Texnology®HEAT-WTEX helps fabrics absorb moisture and generate heat. It works on cotton, viscose, polyester, acrylic, and blends. The principle: evaporation cools you, but condensation releases warmth to your body.
You can use padding, exhaustion, or spraying methods. However, padding is the most common choice. You can also combine this agent with softeners and resins. But first, test its compatibility with other auxiliaries before mixing them in the same bath.
Amount of Texnology®HEAT-WTEX: 30–80 g/L
Pick-up (wet pickup): About 60–80% (depends on fiber type and fabric structure)
Bath temperature: About 20–25°C
Drying temperature: 80–120°C
Fast curing (on a tenter frame): Treat at 150–180°C for 30–60 seconds
Texnology®HEAT-WTEX absorbs moisture and creates heat. It works on many fibers, including cotton, viscose, polyester, and acrylic. It also works on blends. The treatment gives fibers a moisture-absorbing and heat-generating property. The fabric stays soft and fluffy.
How does it work? When liquid water evaporates, it takes away a lot of heat. That makes your body temperature drop. But when water vapor turns back into liquid water, it releases heat. That heat goes to your body.
